JAWS OF LIFE

I felt the womb reject me--I felt cold hands collect me
I cried "Oh God, protect me! Oh Nature please select me!"
And so the cards were dealt me
Mom and Pop smiled and held me--while they cooed and fed me
They hand fed me--to the Jaws of Life

The Jaws came out to meet me--they came right up to greet me
I said "You won't defeat me, oh no you'll never beat me"
I thought that I was winning
That my luck was just beginning--until I saw them grinning
They were grinning--the Jaws of Life

I felt the world reject me--I felt the Man collect me
I cried "Oh God, select me! Oh Nature please protect me!"
And so the cards were dealt me
My cellmates smiled and held me--while they cooed and fed me
They force-fed me--to the Jaws of Life
